Walk-in-Interview on 8th Feb 2018 for engagement of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) OR Project Assistant (PA) in the research project funded by DST-SERB, Government of India, Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
TITLE OF THE PROJECT: Nanoparticle-mediated inhibition of PRDX2 for selective killing of CHEK2-defective colorectal cancer cells by synthetic lethality

QUALIFICATION:
Essential: M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Bioscience/ Nano Sciences & Nano-technology with strong desire to work in the area of Cancer Nanomedicine.
Essential: M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Bioscience/ Nano Sciences & Nano-technology with strong desire to work in the area of Cancer Nanomedicine.
Desirable: Candidate having working experience in Western Blotting, immunohistochemistry, mammalian cell culture, animal model will be preferred.
AGE LIMIT: Must not be over 28 years as on 8th Feb 2018 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
SALARY: Rs.25000/- (consolidated) for JRF with NET/GATE and Rs.14000/- + HRA (20%) for PA without NET/GATE.
ENGAGEMENT PERIOD: Initially for one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate for next 4 months.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of one and a half year years
The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Original documents of age proof/ certificates/ degrees/ marksheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview.
