 Job Description – Field Marketing Manager, Actives & Formulation India

The A&F Field Marketing team amplifies product adoption and resulting sales growth, leads technical seminars and industry events, optimizes messaging, delivers training, and assimilates feedback on industry needs and trends. Our team adds differentiated value to enhance the seeding and sales process, instilling teamwork and collaboration globally.  

We are seeking a Field Marketing Manager with in-depth formulation in liquid formulation (small / large molecules) and commercial expertise to lead technical engagements and industry events, resulting in sustainable business growth. Below is a description of the ideal candidate.


Expertise:
Formulation expertise in liquid and biomolecule formulation. In-depth understanding of the drug development process and challenges involving excipient qualification, solubility, stability, process robustness, patent landscape, process validation, and risk assessment. Able to translate technical challenges into business opportunities. The Technology Manager is active in relevant industry forums, associations, and Thought Leadership activities.

Road Map of a “typical day”:  
Engages with formulation scientists to explain product benefits  and understands technical requirements for winning new business, making course corrections as we learn. Leads the planning, execution and follow-through of technical seminars and industry events. Executes Go-to-Market plans and sales training for launch readiness. Assimilates Voice of Customer inputs with Product Managers to provide guidance for new products development, and refines messaging and value propositions. Partners with Sales team members for development and execution of Plan of Actions, and inspires the use of sales tools. 

Expected Results:

  • Drives product adoption program with Sales to meet seeding targets
  • Develops and maintains influential formulation and regulatory contacts 
  • Serves as a partner to Sales to co-develop and execute Plans of action.
  • Presents at technical seminars and Thought Leadership events to create awareness, curiosity, and sustainable access to formulation teams.
  • Provides key contributions and execution of Go-to-Market, Voice of Customer, and Key Market Initiative (KMI) programs.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Intrinsically driven professional with the ability to work independently
  • Understands customer needs, industry trends, and market influences.
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate with diverse audiences, both written and orally
  • Ability to manage through influence in a globally-networked organization and be comfortable with change of priorities
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory topics, IPEC, GMPs and industry standards
  • Strong consensus-builder, capable of achieving desired outcome in critical conversations, and managing conflict resolution
  • Degree in Industrial Pharmacy, Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharm D. or technical equivalent
  • Five years of combined development experience in liquid dosage in small molecule / biomolecule formulation
  • Two years in a pharma/biopharma chemical or relevant sales role with accountability for seeding and financial results
  • Extensive industry contacts in formulation and regulatory positions at large pharma for continuous dialogue with decision makers/influencers
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-profile external and internal projects
  • Language: English business fluent •
  • Willing to travel up to 50% domestic, 10% international
